26 Oct 2006

I wanted you to be remembered on all the sites honoring Vietnam Heroes. Stan, you were the "greatest", as all your friends said even when you were here with us. Today, October 26, 2006 is the 39th anniversary of your death. We all miss you and love you still. Time does not change how proud we are of you, and your service to the USA. You did not die as a direct casualty of war, but as a result of total exhaustion among the men you served with. You told us of how the men needed a break, we do not blame anyone for what happened to you. We know that God saw that you had been through enough and took you to Himself. We will always miss your enthusiastic personality and your wonderful smile. We love you and are looking forward to seeing you again. God bless you and those who served with you.

From his sister.
