Vasquez was my squad leader and on the night he was killed I was wounded. I was a member of his squad. He was a great man, good friend and great leader. I never had the chance to say goodbye and despite the fact that it has been 38 years I'm always thinking of him. There was another Marine that was killed at the same time that Vasquez was killed, but I can't remember his name. If anyone knows his name please let me know.
