Wassy, as we used to call him, served with the Weapons Plt, Bravo 1/6 Marines, in the Machine Gun Section in Santo Domingo in 1965. He was a fine Marine and a Southern gentleman. He always took his job very seriously and had a true caring for his fellow Marines. Wassy, I think about you every day as I do so many others, who stood their ground and took the fall for their country. God Bless you, Wassy, and Rest in Peace ... Semper Fi ... John Mongiove
