Danny was a son in-law of a neighbor of mine who I also worked for prior to going to Vietnam in August 1967. Danny was killed in June just before I left for Vietnam and I remember how sad we were to hear of his death. I remember one time I ran out of gas going to pick up my future wife (who lived south of my neighbor) for a date. Danny, who was on leave prior to going to Vietnam, helped me get some gas. I thought about Danny, my neighbor, and Danny's wife all the time I was in Vietnam and still do today. They are all special to me. |
