I did not know Richard, though we went to the same high school, but we were brothers in arms in Vietnam. Richard gave the last full measure and deserves to be honored. He will never be forgotten.

Richard was a helicopter pilot and I have read the accident report. His helicopter crashed when it lost its tail rotor and I will leave it at that.

Hopefully members of his unit who knew Richard can add more to his story.

Rest in peace, Richard.
