Dennis was a good friend of mine. When we were at Fort Knox, Kentucky together he came home with me. Hudspeth from California came with us also ... we had a great time! I passed Dennis on Highway 1 in Vietnam in 1970, and he stood up as much as he could in the driver's seat of his Sheridan tank to wave at me and from my track I waved at him. That was the last time I saw him alive. He didn't die right away - he was sent back home where he died in the hospital. His tank hit a mine. I still think of Dennis and I catch myself saying what a nice kid, we all were at that time. God Bless you, Dennis!
