PFC RENE AUGUST ZIMMERLE

04 Dec 2002

I served with Rene August Zimmerle. He was in the 2nd Plt and I was in the central Plt as part of Charlie Co's Forward Observation Team from 1st Bn, 21st Arty. His nickname was AUGIE and he was a close friend. He was killed by friendly fire while setting out trip flares around our Night Defense postion. He is very sadly missed :o((
