Larry Neil Bakke lost his life on June 7, 1969. He was a dear and true friend to me and many others in our small town of Sebewaing, Michigan. Ironically friendship may have, in a strange way, cost him his life as he was taking a friend's duty that night which was just a couple of days before he was to be heading home.

He was/is just one of God's "good guys."
