Donald Bennett was my across the street neighbor who died at the young age of 19.
I last year became a member of the American Legion and the Vietnam Veterans of America. The VVA asked me to join when I visited their meeting. When I told them that I enlisted at the end of the Vietnam era (at age 17) and was not over there, they said that's OK, we want you. They are a wonderful warm group.
