Larry and I became friends in grade school. We lived in the same neighborhood about 1/2 mile from each other. We probably put a 100,000 miles on our bike adventures back then. In high school, we competed for the same girlfriends. Half of them he won, the other half I won. It was great times before the war. You could not find a more laid back guy than Larry. I cannot think of a single person that did not like him.

We both went in the service about the same time. He became an officer, I didn't. I was a two year man all the way. We both went to Nam. I was there a year before he was. I was with Recon 1/506 Inf. 101st Airborne Div. and Larry was with the tough 1st Cav. Div. Because of the events in our army lives, I did not have the chance to visit with him before we went to Nam. I was deeply saddened to hear of his death. I often think about him and my other Nam buddies that didn't make it. I would love to hear from his family and friends.
