America Mourns

I did not want to leave you, but someone made me
I did not want to see the tears that someone gave you
I did not want a nation to mourn, but they have to
I did not want justice through war, but it may be the only thing to do.

I do want you to keep the Freedom you were born into
I do want you to feel the security I was suppose to
I do want you to feel I am close to you.

I want you to know I am safe now, even though you can't see me
I'm with the angels and they are singing to me
I will watch from Heaven and ask God to protect you
I will wait at Heaven's gate to welcome you.

I did not want to leave you, but someone made me.
