Once a Matador,
Always a Matador.

You paid the ultimate sacrifice and I'll never forget that.

One of my best friends from High School and a co-worker in El Paso. We built parade floats before graduation, and traveled to Arizona, we discussed God and joining the Army on the buddy plan but it just didn't happen. I left El Paso and ended up in Florida and went in the Army from Florida only to find out a short time later my buddy had been killed in action.

I still miss you Charlie, I know where you are and I'll be seeing you again. May God continue to enjoy your companionship.

From a friend,
Joe Ripple
