My name is Frank Ambruso. I don't know if you knew Rich personally but he and my brother joined the Marines together in I think 1964. My brother was Allen Steven Ambruso and served with 3rd Bn, 12th Marines, and 1st Tank Battalion as an armorer in Vietnam 1965/66/67.

Rich was always over to our house in Stamford in the early 60's and he and our family were good friends.

He was a great guy and my brother never really got over his death after they got to Vietnam. He passed away April 1st, 1995.

I served with D Co, 1st Med Bn, 1st Marine Division, in 1969/70 in Danang.

I knew Richard when I was in high school in Stamford. Although we were only beginning to be friends when he enlisted, I still remember him as a very kind young man, a very good person.

God took a great man and a devoted family man.
May God still comfort you and your family.
