After 33 years of searching I have finally contacted the wife and daughter of my fellow Marine Frank.

May you rest in peace, my friend -

29 August 2001

One fateful night in August of 68
Our world was changed by a terrible twist of fate -
We lost my father in a land far away.
"Not my husband," my mother screamed that day.
As tears began to fall and her chest began to rise,
She looked at her newborn baby with woeful eyes.
Never will she feel his kiss or touch again ...
It broke her heart to the very end.

Thirty-three years later, we met some faithful men.
"Come be a part of us and let us take you in,
Let us tell you stories of a very brave man.
Whom we have never forgotten from that far off land.
He was brave and strong and we loved him so -
Let us tell you some stories of him before he had to go."

The peace these men have given to us today,
No words or expressions can ever say.
How thankful we our they came into our lives,
With their stories that allowed us to say our goodbyes.

So, daddy, I want you to know,
That when it is my time to go,
At the gates of heaven you will be waiting for me,
And together at last we will finally be.

Love you Dad,
Baby Girl
