Benny, you were always such a good upper classman. I can still see you walking about campus with that big smile on your face. We also had some good times together at the First Christian Church just across the street from our high school. You will always be remembered and missed.

Bennie Bob Coe plus several other neighborhood kids, including Jack and Jim Purvis, Bill Hart, Dale Fry, my brother Tom Miller and me, Jerry Miller, played "sand lot" softball in our hometown of Owasso, Oklahoma back in the mid 1950's. The "vacant lot" softball field was just across the street from my home. Bennie lived just one block east. I was in Vietnam in 1970-71 assigned to MACS-4 (Fwd) at Monkey Mountain, Danang. It really "cut deep" when I heard that Bennie was killed in Vietnam. Rest Well, Bennie, my childhood softball buddy, my prayers are with you and your family. Semper Fi

A Note from The Virtual WallThe 1st Bn, 327th Infantry, lost four men killed on 09 Dec 1965 in an incident on Route 13 near Ben Cat; a fifth died the following day from injuries received. It is believed all five were involved in the same incident - the destruction of a 2-1/2 ton truck by a command detonated mine. The five men were
