Danny was taken from us on August 31st, 1965 in Chu Lai. It is almost 40 years now and yet the emptiness is still felt. Your Purple Heart is treasured by a nephew and will be passed down to his son. The flag that drapped your casket is displayed with honor in our house along with the few precious pictures we have of you. With all the wonderful things that have happened in our lives, we have always felt your presence. As in life, your death has affected so many people - we are still learning. My son, Christopher Daniel, 14, loves you and is so proud of you and knows that you are his guardian angel surrounding him and protecting him. For that I thank you. I will never forget the practical jokes you pulled on me, and the enormous amount of love you poured on me. Although you are not with us in body, your spirit and love are with me always and you have always found a way to be there for me. I love you, Danny.

If anyone reading this memorial knew or served with my brother Danny please contact me at the email address listed. Thank you and God bless.
