Dan and I met the first night of basic training when I stepped on him to climb into the top bunk! We were friends throughout basic at Fort Dix and 26 weeks of OCS. We both were in the First Platoon of OCS class 20-69. I remember one weekend they let us off the "reversation", so Dan and I went into Columbus, Georgia looking for great Italian food. Well, the food was poor but the friendship was great. The good guys will always be remembered and Dan was definitely one of them.
