We were in that war together, we just never knew it.
You were a class act in grade school.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 19 Dec 1972 an OV-10A from the 20th TASS was hit by an SA-7 handheld antiaircraft missile while conducting a FAC mission near Quang Tri City. Although the pilot, Captain Francis X. Egan, was killed the observer survived the crash, evaded capture, and was eventually rescued. Captain Egan's body was later recovered by a ground team.
