Johnny volunteered at age 17 to serve his country; died 9 years later by hostile enemy fire. He left a daughter, Lori, whom he never saw. He was a sharp soldier; served as an Honor Guard at Arlington. He is still my brother.
I am Mallon Faircloth, Superior Court Judge, Cordele (GA) Judicial Circuit.

This young man was first off the chopper in the first major engagement with the enemy by the 101st Airborne Division. Even though mortally wounded he stayed in the fight until his death. He received the Silver Star for his valor.
