May 26, 2001 I think of you every time I pass the places we played ball, went to school, went fishing. Time is slipping by and I have the privilege you were not granted of nearing "senior" status. I carry your memory with me always and I will stand at your graveside this year on Memorial Day as usual to maintain that bond, my friend. 28 Apr 2007 Stan was a few years ahead of me in school but we knew each other from playing a lot of basketball together. Stan was a very funny guy who never seemed to have a bad day. I looked up to Stan for his humor and his "cool". A big part of Mount Washington went missing when Stan left for the Army. I know you are in Heaven, Stan. 16 Jul 2007 Stanley, I found this site by accident. I was a friend of your sister, Nancy Gaston. We were neighborhood friends from Hallock Street. Your sister Janet was older, my brother Allan's age. Then there was Kathy - she was my younger brother Jimmy Joe's age. You, Stanley were younger then we were and I didn't know you very well, but I sure remember you. I loved seeing your picture on this site. It was great. I was living in Iowa when I heard that you were gone. I have never forgotten you. I have tears in my eyes - I can hardly type. I want to thank you for giving your life for your country. My son just retired from the Air Force this past April 2007.
