Jimmy Don Smith

Jimmy was and still is the love I lost to a country across the world from me, and I still look for him in crowds. When I see a tall lanky dark handsome guy, I hold my breath and think maybe, just maybe, they were wrong and he didn't die in that far off land. It's never him but I can't stop looking, he'll always be 21 and now I'm 52 so I guess even if I find him someday he won't look at me any more the way he did. I'll love him always, his kindness and smile will forever be in my heart.
