My Uncle Roy was a handsome young man with dark black hair and blue eyes.

As I remember, we lost him 04-29-1970 when I was 7 years old. well, I'll be 41 in July, and it's funny but I still remember the roaring sound of his laughter (maybe because we heard it so seldom) and the deepness in his voice when he spoke that made everyone within hearing distance pay attention. He was a Screaming Eagle and a SGT E-5 who jumped out of helicopters and all that important stuff - BUT to us he was uncle Roy who bought us icecream, took us to the drive-in shows, walked us to school, and even helped us with our homework. Today is 06-08-2004 and every day of my life until the day I die I will wonder how different my life would be if you were still here. I love you, Uncle Roy, and miss you ... and I feel cheated and robbed of your support in my life. On October 06 2004 you will be 59 years old and you should still be here with us. I will always miss what I remember of you. But even more I miss the thought of who you would be at 59 years old.

Some of us just walk into the sunshine a little sooner than others, I guess it was your turn.

SEE YA LATER!!!!!
(when I get there)
Melissa
