A Note from The Virtual Wall The five Marines from Bravo 1/1 who died in the incident on 27 August 1967 were: 2ndLt Clifton B. Robertson, Los Angeles, CA Cpl Frank C. Fisher, Patchogue, NY Cpl Raymond Fort, Carlisle, AR Cpl John A. Jensen, Espanola, WA LCpl William D. Mignini, Baltimore, MD The 1/1 Marines Command Chronology and 1st Marines Operations Journal for August 1967 set forth the circumstances: "271625H - Spot Rpt #14 Co B rcvd 5 KIA and 10 WIA when plt accidentally entered minefield." 1st Marines Ops Journal, 27 Aug 67, page 218 "Company B patrol unknowingly entered an ARVN minefield at BT 169574 resulting in 5 killed and 10 wounded from the unit and reaction force sent to assist them." 1/1 Marines Command Chronology, 8/67, page 14
