He arrived in Vietnam on Aug 18, 1968 and was killed in Quang Nam on March 13, 1969 - a total of 2 years in service. He was a distant cousin to Vietnam casualty Richard Tamm, who died Dec 4, 1968 and whose name appears on Line 42, Panel 37W of the Vietnam Memorial Wall.
