William John Allen was a 1965 graduate of Greenville High School in Greenville, Michigan. (see photo) He was survived by his father, William G. Allen and his step father, Manus Brown and two sisters, Linda and Mary Ann, a step sister Delores and two brothers, Larry and Rick. He was preceded in death by his mother. The Greenville Chamber of Commerce reminded businesses in the area to display their flags at the time of his death, in his memory. His body was escorted home by Sgt. Steven House. William is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Cedar Springs, Michigan. He was a member of the 3-506th Infantry (Currahees) of the 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles).
