David Paul Anderson is on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Panel 49E Line 028 .

"Andy" was very special to all whom served with him. A memorial service was held at his gravesite on September 17, 2005, in the presence of his dad, L. Burdette Anderson, and step-mother, Fran. Hotel 2/7 was represented by: (XO-Lt.) Tom Wannamaker (with his wife, Joannie) , Reid Moellenpah (with friend, Judy), "Doc" Jason Free, Tom Haney and son (David Andrew Haney), Jeffrey "Bam" Bambrough, Michael "Jake" Jacobs, Ken Werden, Robert "Mike" Wunder and Donald Roach.

Burdette and Fran were presented with a portrait of David, as was the City of Westfield. They are warm, charming people and good Americans, all. A number of Marines expressed regret at not being able to attend. Even after 37 years, with clear memories and strong bonds, we were all so glad to attend.
