25 Nov 2000 I would like to hear from anyone who served with my brother in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam during his tour of duty. He and many others from the 140th Transportation Detachment were killed in their hotel/barracks (the Kach San Viet Cuong, i.e. the Hotel Viet Cuong). I would like to get as much information about him and the others who died with him. I served in Viet Nam in 1966-67 with the US Navy and have made 6 trips back (the first in 1994). So far as I have been able to find out I am the only relative who has returned to Quy Nhon to honor those who died in this bombing. I have created a Foundation, not only to honor my brother, but to help the children of Quy Nhon. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Respectfully, Francis E. A Note from The Virtual Wall On 10 Feb 1965, Viet Cong sappers blew up the Hotel Viet Cuong, an American enlisted men's billet in Qui Nhon City, killing 23 and wounding 21 U.S. soldiers.
