I had only met him a couple of times, I was 12 when he died and I vividly recall that day the article hit the local paper. I knew him from when my Dad and I would visit the florist shop/nursery where he worked with his Dad. My sister lives on a street that bears his last name and was named as memorial to him.

A Note from The Virtual WallWO1 William Warren Breece, Jr, was the aircraft commander and pilot of an OH-6A helicopter (hull number 66-07892). WO Breece was hit by enemy small arms fire while making a firing run against enemy troops. The copilot made a precautionary landing to allow first aid, but WO Breece died of his injuries. |
