Words cannot express the loss
A personal friend that will never be forgotten
He was always there when you needed someone to talk to
A laugh and smile you will never forget
God Bless You
You Will Never Be Forgotten

I never knew you but felt a love and loss for you. You are missed greatly by my family. I have the utmost respect and admiration for you as the Uncle I love today but never met.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

Two men died when their O-1E (tail number 56-2493) went down during a visual reconnaissance flight over Long An Province, SVN:
  • Capt Craig S. Blackner, Lyman, WY, 20th Tactical Air Support Squadron
  • A1C John I. Cameron, Coxsackie, NY, 6253rd Consolidated Maintenance Squadron
The casualty record for Airman Cameron lists his loss in Gia Dinh Province, SVN; Captain Blackner's record and Hobson's "Vietnam Air Losses" place the location in Long An Province. The two provinces are adjacent and share a considerable border.

Although Airman Cameron was assigned to the 6253rd CM Sqdn he was flying as an aerial observer with the 20th TASS.
