PFC Tommie Campbell was a Rifleman and radio operator in the 3d Squad, 3d Platoon, Co B, 1st Bn, 35th Inf, 3d Bde Task Force, 25th Inf Div. I was his Squad Leader. PFC Campbell was a highly motivated and talented Soldier who gave all on that fateful day of 3 July l966. PFC Campbell was killed in action in the Ia Drang Valley (Pleiku Province). He will never be forgotten and is sadly missed by me.
