From one who remembers |
To Sergeant Curry Who trained us hard to be able to endure the Hell we went through in Vietnam at LZ X-Ray and other battlefields. General Moore has given me the honor to place the wreath out on Veterans' Day for all of our fallen comrades. After the ceremony at the Wall, the Honor Guard and I will place a wreath at the Korean Memorial. I love you, Sarge, forever. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. "Garry Owen", my brother Wilbur.
I wear my Indian beads for you on Veterans' Day every year.
Hawk Eye |
"We Were Soldiers" teaches the youth of today what our grandfathers experienced at LZ X-RAY. That film is where I learned of you. No amount of gratitude can be expressed to you or your family for your duty in the name of the USA. Your name lives on. God bless.
