A Note from The Virtual WallTwo men from the 220th Avn Co (Recon) were killed in action on 20 Dec 1965: WO Ronald M. Fero of Scotia, NY, and PFC Marvin L. Shipman of Sullivan, IL. Both men are coded as lost in an aircraft incident, but there is no known record of an O-1 aircraft going down on that date, nor is there evidence to prove that Fero and Shipman were in the same aircraft. |
