Whiskey Battery was at Gia Le, outside of Hue City. PFC Gray was a gunner on Gun 3 of the 155mm battery. There was a high explosive round in the tube and it blew up while still in the gun. LCPL Krebs was also killed and five other Marines were wounded.

I was at Headquarters Battery at the time and heard about the incident. I did not know the men on the gun even though I was with Whiskey Battery for a couple of weeks ealier.

I wanted him to be remembered.
