Andrew was born in Adrian, Michigan. His father, sister and Andrew moved to Midland, Texas, from Chicago, Illinois, in 1958. Andrew attended San Jacinto Junior High School and after his junior year at Midland High School, he dropped out to join the Army. He was killed while his unit was sweeping though a contact area on 17 Dec 1970. He was buried with full military honors in Midland, Texas at the Resthaven Cemetery. He was posthumously promoted to Corporal and received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He is remembered by his community and by the Permian Basin Vietnam Veterans' Memorial in Midland, Texas. |
