A Note from The Virtual Wall On 19 Jan 1968 elements of B Company, 1/5th Infantry, were escorting a convoy through the Ben Cui Rubber Plantation when an APC was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade. Two men died in the explosion; the third was shot to death while trying to pull the wounded driver from the APC. The three men killed in the incident were PFC Charles E. Davis, Galt, CA PFC Michael P. Halpin, Nutley, NJ (Silver Star) PFC Jack J. Kupferer, Terre Haute, IN (Silver Star) REMEMBERED by their comrades in the 5th Infantry - the Bobcats
