It has been 36 years now and I have grown up, retired a soldier. David did not really want to be a soldier, but he did not hesitate when called. I will always remember the happy kid that I grew up with and mourn the soldier that we lost. We owe a debt that we can never repay, not only to the names on this Wall, but to their families as well. May God bless them all as he has blessed me. From a friend, cousin, and fellow soldier.

It is hard to find the words to describe how I feel. Not a single day goes by that I do not think of you. There is a part of me that remains so empty. How do you explain missing someone so much that you never even met? I know that you live on in me. I can feel it in my heart and I see you in my eyes every day. Dad, I love you so much. Your little girl is now a grown woman still struggling to understand.
