I always looked up to you. Your death made the Vietnam War real to me. I will never forget your mother's grief over your loss. It brings tears to my eyes even today as I think about it. Thank you for your sacrifice for our freedom. You are missed.
From a friend from church as a child,
A Note from The Virtual WallPetty Officer Ingle was killed by a Claymore mine explosion while on patrol with the 2nd Platoon, Fox 2/1, just south of Danang, South Vietnam.
