14 Nov 2001 We called our brother Sonny and we miss him still. He laughed easily and worked hard; he was courage and determination. He walked me down the aisle on my wedding day and give me away. We never wanted to give him away. His pride in being a Marine was evident. Our pride in him is forever. We placed him next to our mother in the cemetery under the arching tree. His mother welcomed her only son while four daughters painfully wept. Friends and family mourn and remember with us. When babies are born, his name is given -- Steve, Stefanie. A Note from The Virtual Wall India Company, 3/26th Marines, lost two men on 15 December 1966 while conducting search and destroy operations in the vicinity of the Dong Ha combat base: Sgt Stephen F. Jalloway, Oak Lawn, IL, and Cpl Roy Ratcliff, San Antonio, TX.
