15 Jul 2003 Fred, It took me a long time to do this, but it had to be done. I've thought about you often. I always wondered why it was you, married with two children, and not me, a single guy. I remember growing up and visiting grandma's for the summer. I remember more about what we did growing up every day. I remember how many times our paths crossed, you going your way and me mine. I remember Vietnam - you in the Army in the south of the country and me in the Marine Corps in the north. Both there at the same time, but worlds apart. I remember getting a letter from my Mom, I was on my last op getting ready to home. The letter stated you had died in Vietnam, so close to me yet a world apart. I miss you, Fred.
