A Note from The Virtual Wall

Although assigned to HHC, Sergeant Lyons was in the field with D Company. He received the Silver Star for an action in which he administered first aid under fire to two wounded men ... while on his way to a third he tripped a mine and received fatal wounds.

He is remembered by his comrades in the
5th Infantry - the Bobcats
