PFC Booker T. McCoy was wounded in action on 3 July l966, during an engagement with enemy forces, in the Ia Drang Valley (Pleiku Province) and died as a result of those wounds on 7 Jul l966. He was a member of the 3rd Plt, Co B, 1st Bn, 35th Inf, 3d Bde Task Force, 25th Inf Div. PFC McCoy was an outstanding Soldier, who gave all on that fateful day.

He will never be forgotten and is sadly missed by me.
