MEMORIAL
TO
MAJOR WILLIAM EARL McDONALD, JR.
United States Army

So, "Hon Mot Cai" (kiss me) Don, as I was called, became acquainted with the Major. We both liked Jazz music and we spent many enjoyable hours listening to our tapes and drinking our drinks of choice. Major drank Rusty Nails and I, Screwdrivers. This is how I like remembering Major William Earl McDonald, Jr., "An Officer and a Gentleman."

A beloved High School friend, of whom I had the privilege to be reunited at Fort Eustis, Virginia, and made a special trip in his small winged aircraft to Fort Story, Virginia, just to visit a High School chum. I will never forget him.
