My uncle John E. Miles was in Vietnam from 11-29-67 through 07-02-68 when he got killed. From what my mom can remember about him he was a nice guy. I have been trying to find people who served with him over in Vietnam. I have been trying for many years. I have found a good guy named Doc Hoppy who is helping. He was in Quang Tri when he passed away. I feel like I have a connection with him even though he passed before I was born. He has five kids and grand kids also. I have only met one of his kids. My uncle was a riflemen in Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion. He was married twice I do believe. I thank him and everyone for fighting for our country and freedom. It's an honor to be his niece. He will never be forgotten in my heart and mind. I need to know. I know it takes time for people to want to talk about Vietnam. Thank you.
