A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 28 Feb 1969 Charlie 1/4 Marines were directed to support Lima 3/4 Marines, who were conducting a sweep in the Cam Lo River valley about 4 kilometers northwest of Thon Son Lam. Both units took casualties, with Charlie 1/4 losing four men:
  • Cpl Clifton L. Broyer, Cataumet, MA (Silver Star);
  • LCpl David A. Parker, Clarks Summit, PA;
  • LCpl James L. Vroom, Fort Wayne, IN; and
  • Pfc Stanley E. Ur, Austell, GA.
