Just wanted to let you know you are not forgotten.
Was at your memorial service..
seems like yesterday..
was at the Memorial Wall to see your name,
again just yesterday,
not the traveling one,
because just the same,
I had to see your name,
and know that through out the years
(34 have gone by now)
that it was Hilario Perez,
fresh from bootcamp and on to Vietnam,
one who sacrificed for others...
your life,
and what might have you expected it to be as you grew old, you fun loving Marine?
As I searched for your name,
I didn't think I would find it,
but all of a sudden there you were,
the lady next to me said she,
"didn't help me find it"...
Your name...
There you are just the same,
and I will come back to see you again,
you and your name when I can make it,
and I hope we can spend more time together...me,
and you, and your name.
