Charles Permaloff was like a brother to me. I took his adviced very seriously. He had that gift that could be anbody's older brother. In such a short time I learned a lot about him. Charles was always willing to go the extra mile. I looked up to him and the day he got killed will forever be with me. He was just weeks away from going home. To this day I still miss talking to you. You were the best in Vietnam. You were a hero then and still are a hero in the eyes of America for your sacrifice and that of the others were the greatest sacrifices of all times. There is no greater sacrifice for the ideals of freedom. In that sense we won. I miss you and until we meet again in Heaven - "Adios".
