Roy Edwin Phillips is on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Panel 50W Line 020.
Roy was a classmate of mine at Wilmer Hutchins High School. Roy came to see me before he left for Vietnam. I knew Roy for many years and he was a really nice person and always treated me with respect. He married another classmate of mine, Peggy, before leaving for Vietnam.
He was in Vietnam for such a short period of time (2 months), that I didn't have a chance to even write a letter.
I think of him often and hope he didn't die in vain.
