USMC Ronald Russo served in the US Marine Corps before joining the Army for the Vietnam War.

He left for Vietnam December 1967 and was killed January 27, 1968 - the day before his youngest son's first birthday.

He was a good man; considerate, religious, honest and a faithful father and husband. He left behind a 24 year old wife and two sons, aged 1 and 3 at the time of his death. One son is now in the Army National Guard, the other, a former US Marine, is a federal law enforcement officer. His six grandchildren would have loved the opportunity to get to know him.
