This is to let everyone know Jerry Samson was the greatest little brother in the world. When they notified us that he was killed in action it was the worst day in my life. I miss him more and more every day, with him gone my life is never going to be the same. I loved him with all my heart and knew he really loved me too.

Well, little brother, remember I love and miss you.

Love from your sister,

May your memory and those of your brothers in arms never fade from the hearts and minds of all whom you have touched. I never got to meet you, however, we shared a hobby that I wish we were able to share together. May no one take away the sacrifice you and your fellow soldiers gave for your country, flag, family and brothers in arms. And, may God forever grace you in Heaven.

From his nephew,
Michael Samson Bowen, Jr.
