A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 29 Dec 1968 B Company, 1/5 Infantry, was operating 2 kilometers northwest of Trung Lap in Hua Nghia Province. At 1014 hours, a booby-trapped 155mm artillery round was detonated by an armored personnel carrier. Five men were killed, eleven wounded, and the APC destroyed by the explosion. The five dead were
